This page presents a carefully curated selection of hand sketches I created during my career at Mecanoo. Sometimes they consist of just a few simple lines, while other times they are more complex in nature.
What has always fascinated me is how sketching, putting the first lines on paper, can clarify even the most complex ideas and questions. Sketches help both colleagues and clients find direction, often reveal unexpected perspectives that had not yet been explored.
Those initial lines frequently become the common thread throughout the entire design process.
